PD: Construction Site Flagger Worker Stole Beer

Jeremy Garcia, 26, of Nashua, was arrested Wednesday

Police in Nashua, New Hampshire, have arrested a construction site flagger they say stole a beer from a store and then a case of beer from a delivery truck in October.

Jeremy Garcia, 26, of Nashua, was arrested Wednesday.

Police say Garcia was reportedly working as a flagger on the Burke Street road construction.

The theft was reported Oct. 28 at Nellie's Mart and Deli at 48 Burke St. An officer tried to speak with Garcia, but he unexpectedly left the job site.

Garcia was arrested later that night on drug-related offenses. An arrest warrant was then completed for the theft charges.

Garcia was taken into custody Wednesday on that warrant and his charges were upgraded after it was discovered he had previous theft-related convictions.

Garcia is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 2.
