PD: Resident Wrestles Home Burglary Suspect

Officers responded to the multi-family home at 180 Notre Dame Ave. around 11 p.m. for a reported burglary

Police in Manchester, New Hampshire, say they have arrested a man accused of home burglary after they found him wrestling with the home's resident Sunday night.

Officers responded to the multi-family home at 180 Notre Dame Ave. around 11 p.m. for a reported burglary.

One of the home's residents, Steven Gott, told police he noticed the basement door slightly open and the basement light on.

When Gott went into the basement, he saw a man hiding behind the boiler system holding a flashlight and screwdriver.

Gott tackled the man and wrestled with him to prevent him from fleeing.

Police identified the man as 29-year-old Tobiah Scott and charged him with burglary.

He will appear in court Monday morning.
