Pedestrian Killed in Early Morning Crash in New Hampshire

The driver, identified as a woman from Lyndeborough, was not hurt

Police say a driver drifted into the opposite lane of traffic and struck a pedestrian, killing her, in Lyndeborough, New Hampshire.

Police said the van was headed north on Center Road at about 2:40 a.m. Friday. At the same time, Debess Rogers was walking northbound on the southbound side of the road and was struck near the shoulder. She died at the scene.

The driver, identified as a woman from Lyndeborough, was not hurt. Her name hasn't been released. 

Police are investigating.
