Police: Father Brings 2-Year-Old to Meeting With Supposed 15-Year-Old for Sex

A Vermont man is facing charges after allegedly bringing his 2-year-old child to meet a supposedly 15-year-old teen girl for sexual encounter in New Hampshire.

James Taylor, 25, of Quechee was arrested on Tuesday and charged with attempted felonious sexual assault, certain used of computer services prohibited and endangering the welfare of a child.

Lebanon police say they were alerted about an anonymous Craigslist post that appeared to be targeting younger -- even possible underage -- people for sex.

Officers found the ad and responded to the person who posted it, later identified as Taylor.

Taylor then allegedly went to a baseball field in West Lebanon with his child in the car to meet someone he believed was a 15-year-old girl for sex, where he was arrested.

His bail was set at $20,000 cash and he was taken to the Grafton County House of Corrections pending his arraignment on Thursday. It's unclear if he has an attorney.

The child is now in the custody of the child's mother.
