Program Providing Free Attorneys to Abuse Victims Gets More Funding

The 'Have Justice will Travel' program received 1,200 calls last year

A Vermont program that provides free attorneys to victims in abuse cases has received funding for another three years.

The program based in Vershire is called "Have Justice will Travel."

The Bennington Banner reports the attorneys represent people seeking relief from restraining orders. A number of legal issues can crop up at hearings on them, including child support.

Last year, the program received 1,200 calls.
