Officials with the Rhode Island Department of Health say there have been 13 suspected cases of ringworm at an early childhood center in Warwick in a month.
According to necn affiliate WJAR, the cases were reported at Drum Rock Early Childhood Center.
Pinworm is caused by a parasitic worm and is not harmful. The main symptom is itching.
The school district is taking steps to clean and sanitize surfaces.
The cases have not been confirmed by doctors, but parents say they are seeing symptoms.
