An 80-year-old man died when two boats collided off the coast of Westerly, Rhode Island, Tuesday, according to police.
Necn affiliate WJAR reports a 60-foot yacht and a 25-foot boat collided.
The 80-year-old, who has not been identified, was operating the smaller boat. The two men who were on the yacht were not injured.
The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating whether water conditions contributed to the crash.
No charges have been filed.
