Rhode Island environmental police said a Connecticut man has died while scuba diving off the coast at Jamestown.
Officials from the Rhode island Department of Environmental Management identified the man as Todd R. Nolan, 40, of Windsor.
WJAR-TV reports police said the man was diving with a group of people in waters off Fort Wetherhill.
He was taken from the water at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday and later pronounced dead at Newport Hospital.
Department of Environmental Management police are investigating the cause of the accident.
