A driver is dead after police say he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a traffic light pole in Providence.
It happened early Saturday in the city's Jewelry District. Police say the driver, identified as 47-year-old Damin Thompson, was declared dead at the scene.
Police say Thompson was alone in the vehicle.
The crash is under investigation.
