FBI, Local Authorities Release Suspect's Photo in Islamic School Vandalism

There's a $5,000 reward for information leading to the suspect's arrest

Surveillance images of the suspect who vandalized the Islamic School of Rhode Island with anti-Muslim graffiti has been released by the FBI and local authorities.

In addition, they are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the suspect's arrest.

Authorities say the male suspect vandalized two sides of the West Warwick building with obscene and offensive graffiti in bright orange spray paint, which was found by a community member who was hosting prayer services on Feb. 15.

The vandalism, which prompted the FBI to open an ongoing civil rights investigation, is believed to to have happened between Friday, Feb. 13, at 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 15, at 7:30 a.m.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the vandalism is asked to call the FBI 1-401-272-8310 or the West Warwick Police Department at 401-827-9044. The FBI also says you can submit tips online at tips.fbi.gov
