FBI Seeks Kidnapping Suspect

Officials are asking the public to help identify a suspect who kidnapped a man at gunpoint in Barrington, Rhode Island.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, state police and local police are asking the public to help identify the suspect in an armed kidnapping they say took place this summer in Barrington, Rhode Island.

Officials say the masked suspect kidnapped a man from his driveway at 7:30 a.m. on June 30. The victim was then forced to drive for nearly three hours to the border of Massachusetts and New York on I-90, according to the FBI.

Then, officials say, the suspect had the victim pull over before fleeing into the woods in Lee, Massachusetts.

The suspect is described as a male with dark hair who spoke English and Spanish. His face was hidden by a green camouflage bandanna and he wore a grey hooded sweatshirt.

The FBI says he was holding a black semi-automatic handgun.

A reward of up to $20,000 is being offered for information leading to the suspect's arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call 1 (800) 225-5324 or submit a tip to tips.fbi.gov.
