Police say a former police officer in Rhode Island has been arrested after a mother accused him of molesting her 12-year-old daughter.
Timothy Paul, of North Smithfield, was arrested Sunday following a complaint that was filed from the mother stating that 52-year-old Paul molested her child at his house.
The former Woonsocket police officer is charged with child molestation and disorderly conduct.
Paul tells necn affiliate WJAR-TV that he's horrified, devastated and that he won't get his reputation back.
He was arraigned and released on Monday. He's due back in court in September.
