Holiday Concerts to Begin at Rhode Island State House

The holiday concert season is beginning at the Rhode Island State House.

The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts says more than 3,000 student musicians from 57 schools will perform over the next four weeks.

The concert series begins on Tuesday morning and runs through Dec. 22. All the concerts are free and open to the public.

Choirs, wind ensembles, orchestras and jazz bands will be performing under the building's rotunda. The student performers are from elementary, middle and high schools around the state.

The concert schedule can be found on the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts' website.
