A Johnston, Rhode Island, man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a Providence man outside a busy market.
The Providence Journal reports that police say Zakery Khamvongsa was arrested on a warrant Sunday night at a relative's house. He surrendered to police.
He's accused of fatally shooting 22-year-old Anthony Mitchell who was walking out of the Rodriguez Meat Market and Grocery last Wednesday.
The motive and whether Mitchell was the intended target are unclear.
The 21-year-old Khamvongsa was arraigned Monday on a murder charge at District Court.
It wasn't known Tuesday morning if he's represented by a lawyer.
