Mob Associate Sentenced for 2011 Assault in RI

Judge William Carnes ordered 65-year-old Anthony Parrillo to serve five years of a 15-year prison sentence Monday

A convicted murderer and reputed Patriarca crime family associate was sentenced earlier this week for the December 2011 assault of a doctor and her husband at a Providence, Rhode Island, club.

Judge William Carnes ordered 65-year-old Anthony Parrillo to serve five years of a 15-year prison sentence Monday for the attack on Dr. Sumiya Majeed and her husband Jacob Fernandez at the now-closed Two9Five Cafe & Lounge.

Parrillo was convicted of felony assault with serious bodily injury resulting and simple assault in November.

Police say Parrillo mistook Fernandez for a man who was involved in a stabbing at the Federal Hill club, dragged the couple outside and then beat them with two other employees.

In 1986, Parrillo pleaded guilty to the 1982 murder of two men whose bodies were never found.
