One firefighter was taken to a hospital for heat exhaustion

An early-morning two-alarm fire broke out at an abandoned building in Tiverton, Rhode Island, Monday. 

According to necn affiliate WJAR, the fire on Mill Street started around 2 a.m. 

One firefighter was taken to a hospital for heat exhaustion. 

Officials say the building is not safe. It may be demolished.

Crews continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
