The Rhode Island Department of Health has released the causes of death for an Exeter mother and daughter who were both found dead inside their home in February.
Police say 85-year-old Wilma Reynolds and her daughter, 64-year-old Carol Lydick, were found dead by Reynolds' son inside their Skunk Hill Road home on February 3.
The Providence Journal reports that Reynolds died after a bulge in the wall of an artery connected to her heart broke open. She had suffered from heart disease tied to high blood pressure.
Lydick was killed by toxic acids that had built up in her body from uncontrolled Type 1 diabetes.
A state police investigation found that no foul play was involved and the deaths were not suspicious.
