Police say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the New London Turnpike in Coventry, Rhode Island.
Officers responded to the area at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday and found a 41-year-old male from Coventry suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital and is expected to survive.
Police say he was struck by a 69-year-old female motorist from Coventry.
Police don't expect to file any charges.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
