Police: 2 Men Wounded in Drive-by Shooting in Pawtucket, RI

One victim was struck in the leg and the other's injuries aren't known

Police are investigating after two young men were wounded by an unknown gunman in a drive-by shooting in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. 

Maj. Tina Goncalves says the victims, a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old, were rushed to Miriam Hospital early Thursday evening before police arrived to the scene. 

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of West Avenue and Sterry Street after receiving a report of shots fired around 6:30 p.m. 

Witnesses told police a black Nissan Maxima pulled up to a residence where a group of teens were standing on the front porch and opened fire. The group fled, but the vehicle continued pursuit and fired additional shots. 

One victim was struck in the leg. The other's injuries aren't known. Both men were listed in stable condition. 

It's unclear if police have a suspect.
