Police: Man Charged With DUI 4 Times in 2 Days

In one accident, police said the suspect crashed into an SUV injuring two small children

A Cumberland, Rhode Island, man has been charged with drunken driving four times in less than two days, police said Tuesday.

Cumberland police said 53-year-old John Lourenco was arrested three times in Cumberland on Monday. He was arrested once in Providence on Sunday. Police said he crashed into three cars and a tree.

In one accident, police said he crashed into an SUV injuring two small children.

Police said he was hospitalized three times, and at one point his blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit.

Lourenco faces numerous charges from Cumberland and Providence, including driving under the influence, reckless driving and refusing a chemical breath test.

He's being held on $25,000 bail with surety.
