Police say an early morning crash involving a landscaping company's dump truck and two cars has left one person dead.
The crash in Providence occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.
Police say the dump truck struck a sedan, killing one occupant of the other vehicle and severely injuring another. No one was injured when a third vehicle got involved.
A witness says the driver of the dump truck ran into a nearby gas station convenience store crying and was detained by bystanders until police arrived and arrested him.
No names were immediately released and the crash remains under investigation.
