Racist Propaganda Left at R.I. Homes

The flyers, in plastic bags and weighed down by rocks, were left in driveways in town on Monday night or Tuesday morning

Police are investigating after racist propaganda was left at several East Greenwich, Rhode Island, households, but it does not appear as if a crime was committed.

The flyers, in plastic bags and weighed down by rocks, were left in driveways in town on Monday night or Tuesday morning.

One flyer said: "Earth's Most Endangered Species: The White Race. Help Preserve It."

Another said: "Wake Up White America. Stand Up For Your Rights. Protect Our Future."

Neighbors and area clergy condemned the flyers.

Providence NAACP chapter President James Vincent says the timing is terrible given the massacre of nine people in Charleston, South Carolina, allegedly by a man driven by racial hatred.

Police have not identified who left the literature.
