Authorities say the Rhode Island beach where a mysterious blast sent a woman flying has fully reopened, even as they continue searching for the cause.

A section of Narragansett's Salty Brine beach was cordoned off after a Connecticut woman was thrown into a nearby jetty following a loud boom July 11.

Department of Environmental Management spokeswoman Gail Mastrati says the roping in that area was removed Tuesday morning.

She says the scientific team finished taking soil samples late Monday.

Mastrati says DEM will likely learn the results of the testing late next week.

Gov. Gina Raimondo said Tuesday that state officials are working hard to figure out what happened.

The beach was temporarily evacuated after the incident.

Investigators have found no evidence of an explosive device.
