Rhode Island Man Charged With Child Porn for 2nd Time

For the second time, a Rhode Island man is facing charges in connection with child pornography, according to state police.

David B. Hamlin, 36, of West Warwick, was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with possession and transfer of child pornography after a court-authorized search warrant was executed at his home.

Rhode Island State Police and officials with the Rhode Island State Police Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force said Hamlin was already on probation stemming from an arrest on Oct. 5, 2016, where he was charged with transfering child pornography. He pled no contest to an amended charge of access to computer for fraudulent purposes.

Following the Tuesday search at Hamlin's home, ICAC seized numerous items of digital media that they say could have him facing additional charges.

Hamlin is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at the Noel Judicial Complex in Warwick.

It's unclear if he has an attorney.
