A Cranston man has been found guilty of malicious killing of animals after beating a small dog with a cane almost two years ago.
Nicola Patalano was found guilty by a jury on Tuesday, according to WJAR.
Prosecutors said Patalano beat his neighbor’s Yorkie, Missy after it ran towards his dog. The beating left the dog unconscious before it later died at the hospital.
