Rhode Island Man Sentenced to Nearly 24 Years for Child Porn

A 27-year-old Rhode Island man has been sentenced to nearly 24 years in prison after pleading guilty in a child exploitation case prosecutors said included making pornographic images of a 7-year-old girl.

Sean Keener of Warwick was sentenced Monday in federal court in Providence. He pleaded guilty in March to one count each of production, possession and distribution of child pornography.

Prosecutors said images including videos of the Rhode Island girl were posted to a Russian file-sharing web site.

Authorities said a joint federal and local investigation turned up the images, and linked them to Keener. Investigators discovered Keener and the victim lived in Rhode Island.

Prosecutors said a warranted search of two computers and two cellphones belonging to Keener found more than 5,100 images and 586 videos showing minors in sexually explicit acts.
