Rhode Island state police say three Pennsylvania men have been arrested on weapons charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 95.
Col. Steven O'Donnell said the Philadelphia men were stopped on Saturday morning in West Greenwich and later appeared before a justice of the peace. All were in custody Saturday. It wasn't immediately known if they have lawyers to comment.
Police said 41-year-old Thomas Severns is held without bail on charges including possessing a handgun after being convicted of a violent crime. Twenty-six-year-old Andrew Forte and 21-year-old Eric Niemiec were each charged with carrying an unlicensed loaded handgun and held on $5,000 bail.
