Suspended Cop Held Without Bail After 2nd Arrest

A suspended Providence, Rhode Island, police officer has been ordered to be held without bail and evaluated for mental health and substance abuse after he was charged with sending threatening text messages to his doctor.

Police say 45-year-old Scott Logan was arrested in Johnston Wednesday and charged with cyber-stalking and disorderly conduct.

Last week, the 45-year-old officer was released on $25,000 personal recognizance after being accused of sending a text message that threatened three superior officers. The 20-year veteran of the force is now being held on a bail violation after he was arrested again stemming from two separate incidents of threatening texts.

He is slated to be arraigned on Friday on the new charges.

Logan's lawyer declined comment on the new charges, saying he just learned of the possible bail violation.
