Tanker Train Derails in Providence

Fire officials say the engineer driving the train was not injured

A tanker train travelling through Providence, Rhode Island derailed around 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

The truck was carrying 30 thousand gallons of ethanol, but none leaked, according to WJAR.

The derailment of the tanker train, which was travelling from Worcester, closed down Allens Avenue.

Fire officials say the engineer driving the train was not injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
