The driver of a tractor-trailer was rushed to a hospital Wednesday night after a train crashed into it in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. at Fairmount and River Streets, according to necn affiliate WJAR.
A witness told WJAR the safety bars which alert drivers of oncoming trains were not down and that the tractor-truck driver could not get his vehicle out of the way fast enough.
There is no word on the driver’s condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
