Woman Found Guilty of Murdering Her Girlfriend

The attorney general's office says Sendra Beauregard was convicted Tuesday of killing 50-year-old Pamela Donahue last December

A Johnston, Rhode Island, woman has been found guilty of murder in the shooting death of her girlfriend in Providence.

The attorney general's office says Sendra Beauregard was convicted Tuesday of killing 50-year-old Pamela Donahue last December.

Donahue was found unresponsive by her roommate in their apartment Dec. 2. Police initially thought Donahue had overdosed, but emergency medical technicians found a gunshot wound after she was taken to the hospital.

Police said Donahue's roommate told investigators the couple had recently argued. Investigators said they found several hostile and threatening text messages 43-year-old Beauregard had sent Donahue in the days leading up to the killing.

Beauregard has been held without bail since her arrest. A sentencing date hasn't been set.
