It has been a rocky start to the school year and Tuesday was the second straight day of issues in Boston

After two days of significant delays, Boston Public Schools says that they are on track to have all bus routes covered Wednesday morning.

It has been a rocky start to the school year. Tuesday was the second straight day of issues in Boston. Multiple routes were left uncovered in the morning, but those routes were eventually covered after heavy delays.

Boston Public Schools is saying all routes Wednesday will be on time with a driver ready for every bus.

It’s still unclear why there is a bus driver shortage, but the union and Veolia are still in tough contact negotiations.

Boston Public Schools has sent alerts to parents letting them know to prepare for alternate transportation just in case and are encouraging parents to check the status of their child's bus route.

The MBTA will be free for Boston students Wednesday.
