After some cities and towns picked up 1-2” of rain Monday, Tuesday continues to be rather gloomy with lots of clouds. A few spotty showers and drizzle will also move through, but it won’t be as wet as Monday. A northeast wind will primarily keep temperatures in the 60s, but late day a few sunny breaks will develop.
That clearing trend will continue tonight with lows in the 50s.
Wednesday is the pick of the week with sunshine and highs in the 70s to around 80 as high pressure sits overhead.
Clouds return on Thursday with a front approaching. That front will trigger scattered showers, downpours, and storms in Northern New England, with the rain threat sliding south later in the day.
An area of low pressure will ride along the front and may bring another round of downpours by Friday.
Right now all signs all point to clearing in time for the weekend and much of next week.
