A man was stabbed several times late Tuesday night in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, according to police.
The Tewksbury Fire Department got a call for a stabbing a little before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, the agency said. A 47-year-old man was taken to a hospital after some sort of fight, fire officials said. He had stab wounds to the neck and arms, but is expected to survive.
Officers have made an arrest, Tewksbury Police Chief Ryan Columbus told NBC10 Boston. The suspect was identified as 70-year-old Ricky Carl Stanichuk. He faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury.
Stanichuk was also taken to the hospital for treatment after the fight. A 44-year-old woman was treated at the scene.

Stanichuk was ordered held with bail at his arraignment, police said.
More details on what led up to the stabbing were not immediately released.
