Stoughton Police Arrest Man at Site of $500,000 Fentanyl Seizure

Police say the New Jersey man rammed a cruiser outside a storage facility

Police in Stoughton, Massachusetts, arrested a New Jersey man Thursday night shortly after they said he rammed a police cruiser outside a storage facility.

Authorities said they found about $500,000 worth of fentanyl in two storage units at Extra Space Storage on Washington Street. They began investigating Wednesday after employees at the facility found drugs in one of the units, which they opened to show to potential auction bidders.

A fake identification card and other documents led police to another storage unit, where they found even more fentanyl.

The following night, 28-year-old Carlos Concepcion walked into that unit, but ran out after spotting a search warrant posted inside, police said.

They said he then rammed a police cruiser.

Concepcion, who police said was carrying three bags of narcotics and a large bundle of cash in his pockets, was ordered to be held without bail.

He is due back in court on June 26.
