Teen Rescued in N.H. After Being Swept Downstream

He was reportedly swimming when he lost his footing

Officials say a 14-year-old boy was rescued from high water on Monday after he was swept downstream at a swimming area in Conway, New Hampshire.

Conway Fire Chief Steve Solomon told the Conway Daily Sun that his department responded to a report of someone trapped on a rock just above the Lower Falls in the Swift River.

The teen was reportedly swimming when he lost his footing and had to hold onto a rock to keep from going over the falls. Solomon said he was able to swim out to the boy and bring him to safety.
