2 Hikers Rescued After Fall in Vermont

Two hikers have been rescued after falling in an area of cliffs and ledges along Lake Champlain and spending the night outside.

The U.S. Coast Guard says the hikers were rescued just after noon on Friday, after falling the day before.

The Burlington Free Press reports that they were taken to the Coast Guard station and then to the University of Vermont Medical Center.

The hikers' names have not been released.

The deputy Burlington fire chief says he did not have information on the hikers' injuries.
