Police in South Burlington, Vermont, have arrested two people following a drug bust, one of whom allegedly assaulted two officers.
Nathan Remillard, 27, and Matthew Shepardson, 22, are both facing charges in the incident.
NECN affiliate WPTZ reports police responded to Kennedy Drive Tuesday night for possible drug activity in a parked vehicle.
Officers seized 29 bags of heroin during the search and arrested Remillard, who was taken into custody and held on $2,500 bail.
Police say Shepardson began to walk away during the incident and would not stop when ordered to. They say he struck two officers in the face as they tried to arrest him. He was arrested and is being held on $3,000 bail.
