3 Sought in Vermont Theft of Winter Coats Valued at About $1,000

Police in Rutland, Vermont, are looking for three people accused of taking about $1,000 worth of winter jackets from a Dick's Sporting Goods store.

Police said a man and a woman went into the store shortly before 10:30 p.m. Thursday, and the woman took several NorthFace coats from a rack. The man went through the checkout line with no items and left, activating the sensor for the entrance door. The woman bypassed the checkout lines and ran out the entrance.

The two were seen jumping into an older model Silver Nissan Pathfinder with Vermont registration GNH604, driven by another woman. They were last seen heading south on U.S. Route 7.
