75-Year-Old Man Dies in Vermont Crash

Police say a 75-year-old Vermont man died in an accident involving two vehicles along U.S. Route 7 in Middlebury.

necn affiliate NBC 5 reports the crash happened Thursday night in the area of the Court Street Extension's intersection with Centre Plaza.

David Davignon, the lone occupant of his vehicle, was found unresponsive at the scene. Bystanders attempted to revive the Middlebury man before he was rushed to Porter Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The two occupants of the second car involved in the accident were hospitalized with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. They weren't identified. 

The crash remains under investigation.
