Alzheimer's Patient Reported Missing Found Safe

Vermont State Police have reunited an 88-year-old Clarendon man who suffers from Alzheimer's with his family.

They announced it in a release sent just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Troopers did not disclose any more information.

Police were looking for Gordon Stacey, 88, for most of the afternoon and evening. He was last seen by his wife Clema at 2 p.m. at their home on Route 7B North. They say Clema told them Gordon had said he was leaving to go to a truck garage in his blue 2007 Chevy Cobalt, license plate CXM516. But when he didn't return an hour later, Clema called the garage and learned he was never there. A search of several locations around Rutland by the Stacey family yielded no leads, troopers said.
