A driver has been accused of hitting a bicyclist and causing his death in the town of Weybridge, Vermont.

Police said the crash happened on Hamilton Road at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The bicyclist was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name wasn't released.

Police arrested 27-year-old Nathan Dearing of Whiting on charges of driving with a criminally suspended license and driving under the influence with death resulting. He was scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday. Dearing was jailed on $75,000 bail; it wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.

The crash is still under investigation.
