Vermont State Police say a man who was taken against his will in Eden and forced into a truck managed to escape and that two men are facing charges.
Police received a call from the victim Monday night around 10. The victim told police he was taken against his will on South Pond Road.
Police say Andrew Philip, 29, of Johnson, and Matthew Hosford, 18, of Eden, forced the victim into their truck. Police say Hosford drove the truck while Philip restrained the victim.
The victim told police that the two drove him to a wooded area and believed law enforcement was behind them. They abandoned the vehicle giving the victim a chance to escape.
Police stayed with the victim and apprehended Philip and Hosford, who are facing charges of kidnapping.
