While his Republican opponents were in South Carolina for that state's primary Saturday, John Kasich was campaigning in New England.
He first spoke in Colchester, Vermont, then packed the Hibernian Cultural Centre in Worcester, Massachusetts, where 700 people came to see Ohio's governor.
"I think he's a moderate Republican," said Carolyn Sylvester of Upton. "I think he's got great experience, and most importantly, I think he makes good fiscal sense for this country."

Later in the night, Kasich was in Wakefield, where he learned that Jeb Bush had suspended his campaign.
"I do want to compliment Jeb Bush and the Bush family for the many years of great work and service to our country," Kasich said.
Kasich isn't the only candidate shifting his focus to New England. Democrat Bernie Sanders will hold a rally at UMass Amherst on Monday. It will take place at the William D. Mullins Memorial Center and doors will open at 4:30 p.m.
