A man facing a variety of federal drug charges in Vermont is now facing multiple counts of forcing women to engage in commercial sex acts.
Federal prosecutors say 42-year-old Brian Folks, of New York and Winooski, was indicted Thursday on four counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion and one count of sex trafficking of a minor.
Prosecutors say two others indicted last year on drug charges along with Folks were not charged with the sex trafficking crimes.
Court documents say Folks photographed the women in sexually suggestive poses and posted them on an internet forum known for adult services for the purpose of selling the women for sex.
Folks' attorney did not immediately return a call Friday seeking comment.
