Man Charged in Killing of Elderly Woman Accused of Contacting Witnesses

Keith Baird, along with two co-defendants, is charged with burglary and kidnapping in the killing of Pat O'Hagan

A Vermont man charged in connection with the 2010 killing of a 78-year-old grandmother has been accused of contacting witnesses in the case.

Keith Baird, along with two co-defendants, is charged with burglary and kidnapping in the killing of Pat O'Hagan. He has pleaded not guilty.

State police say O'Hagan was shot in the back of her head in September 2010 during a nighttime home invasion in Sheffield.

Police say Baird remains jailed under orders to not have contact with multiple people connected to the case. They say Baird called two witnesses from the state prison.

He's facing 31 counts of violating court conditions.
