Smoking will soon be banned on the Church Street Marketplace in Burlington, Vermont.
The new law goes into effect on Dec. 17.
The City Council had approved the measure 11-3 in November but had not determined a start date.
The marketplace's executive director tells the Burlington Free Press that signs will be put up about the ordinance and ashtrays will be moved to the edge of the marketplace.
