More Than 500 Bags of Heroin Found Hidden in Car

Authorities say troopers found the heroin in a concealed area inside the dome light

Authorities in Vermont say state police found more than 500 bags of heroin following a search of a car in Springfield.

Police received a call about a vehicle driving erratically on Interstate 91 around 11:40 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the driver of the car, 23-year-old Timothy Ksepka of Hardwick, consented to a search after officers found the vehicle at a gas station.

Authorities say troopers found the heroin in a concealed area inside the dome light. Ksepka was issued a citation for trafficking heroin and other offenses.

He was taken to the Southern State Correction Facility in lieu of $1,500 bail. It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney and a phone number couldn't be found for him.
