Motorcyclist Dies in 2-Vehicle Crash

Hector Messier was leading a group of eight other riders when he collided with an SUV

A motorcyclist is dead after he collided with an SUV around 11 a.m. Saturday, according to Vermont State Police.

Officials say Hector Messier's motorcycle was totaled when he crashed into Arnaldo Rios' SUV on Georgia Shore Road in Georgia, Vermont.

Messier was leading a group of motorcycle riders and crossed the center line as he was turing around a sharp curve, according to police. Both vehicles incurred significant damage.

Messier was pronounced dead at the scene by AMCare Rescue. Rios was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
