A suspect arrested in the shooting death of a Vermont man is being held without bail

A suspect arrested in the shooting death of a Vermont man is being held without bail.

Gregory Smith of Springfield was arrested on a second-degree murder charge Thursday in the Vermont town of Londonderry. The 30-year-old Smith is wanted in the shooting death of Wesley Wing last weekend in Springfield.

A girlfriend arrested with him, 25-year-old Wendy Morris, has been charged with being an accessory after the fact. Her bail was set at $250,000.

Both are scheduled for arraignment at Windsor county Criminal Court in White River Junction at 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Another one of Smith's girlfriends in Keene, New Hampshire, is facing charges that she helped him evade capture.

It was not immediately known if any of the suspects have lawyers.
